apiThese beautifully curved hand forged Damascus bladed knives were originally designed for hacking through the Malay jungle and saw extensive use in the construction of thatched roof huts. Handles are polished genuine buffalo horn and the sheaths are rugged buffalo hide. A great field knife for hacking through brush or general camp chores. Feel free to use these knives hard, as they can take it with ease. The knives were forged entirely by hand by their own old world craftsmen and should not to be confused with cheap "Damascus" looking knives on the market. The knives measure 16" in the sheath. The blades are 9 1/2" in length and a sturdy 1 5/8" in width. The hilts are 5 3/4" in length with 1-piece buffalo horn grips. The heavy oval shaped guards are made of brass, as are the large ferrules above the guard. These fine bladed weapons are equipped with their own custom leather sheaths, boldly marked "Lewis Drake". CONDITION: like new with only storage wear. PROVENANCE: from the renowned collection of quality sporting arms from Lewis Drake together with inventory of Lewis Drake Associates. (02-23573-21/BF). $700-1,100.
