1) Overall length: 13 7/8”. Blade length: 9 1/4”. A nice example of the V-44 survival knife by Collins & Co. The bowie style blade has 2 narrow fullers at the top of each side. Blade is marked at the ricasso, “COLLINS & CO(arm & hammer)LEGITIMUS MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 18”. Brass crossguard. Black composite 2 piece grip w/ 5 copper rivets on each side. Tooled brown leather sheath marked on the front, “COLLINS & CO (arm & hammer) LEGITIMUS”. Sheath is also stamped w/ “13”. CONDITION: blade has a pleasing medium gray patina & shows the lightest of sharpening. Grip shows light wear. Sheath shows light wear but needs a cleaning. 2) Overall length: 14”. Blade length: 9 1/4”. A good example of the V-44 survival knife likely by Mars Machine Tools of Brisbane, Australia. The bowie style blade has 2 narrow fullers at the top of each side. Blade is unmarked. Brass crossguard. Black composite 1 piece grip w/ 3 brass rivets on each side. Brown leather scabbard scratched on the reverse, “C.C. CRITZER C-8768 NV”. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray patina w/ evidence of sharpening. Grip shows moderate wear w/ gouges near the pommel from hammering. Sheath shows moderate to heavy wear. 3) Overall length: 14”.
