BUSTS. Late 19th, early 20th century. 1) "HIAWATHA". The bust with enameled flowing black hair and red headband with green flowers wearing a bear claw necklace and beaded necklaces with trade medallions; each enameled in a red tunic. Impressed on cartouched engraved "Copyright. 1902 By FC Neddernut St. Louis". The front with name impressed in a silvered scrolled cartouche joined to a socle. SIZE: 10 1/2" h. 2) "HIAWATA". The bust with long flowing hair with blue headband and with sharp facial features, beaded bear claw trade medallion necklace in a red tunic raised on a black shaped plinth. Impressed "Copyrighted 1910 Modern Art Co". Scrolled cartouche with name on front. SIZE: 10 1/2" h. 3) Native American warrior with long flowing dark hair and a two feather headdress tied with a braid of hair. The front with a tomohawk held by a belt. SIZE: 10" h. 4) "FALLING STAR". Native American princess with long flowing hair, beaded headdress, earrings and several beaded neckbands in a red tunic with fringe and wide strap on a shaped footed pedestal. Back is engraved "Copyright 1901 The Bailey Co.". Name is impressed on the base within her hair. SIZE: 12 1/2" h. 5) "HIAWATA". Native American warrior with long flowing hair, red headband, earrings and a bear claw necklace with beaded necklaces and trade medallion in a red tunic. Scrolled cartouche with engraved name over a tied tomahawk and long gun. SIZE: 13 1/2" h. CONDITION: good with minor chips and flecks throughout, most notably on Falling Star.
