1) M1895 Enlisted forage cap w/ dark blue wool body. Cap features 2 vent holes on each side, leather chinstrap w/ eagle side buttons & a crossed rifle insignia for Company C of the 1st Infantry. Leather sweatband. Polished cotton interior lining. CONDITION: hat shows very light wear overall. 2) M1902 Army Infantry enlisted visor hat w/ a dark blue wool body. Cap features a light blue & dark blue band, leather chinstrap w/ eagle side buttons & a crossed rifle insignia on the front for Company I of the 5th Infantry. Leather sweatband. Polished cotton interior lining. CONDITION: hat shows light to moderate wear. Sweatband has a sm. tear. 3) M1902 Army Artillery enlisted visor hat w/ a dark blue wool body. Cap features a red & dark blue band, leather chinstrap w/ eagle side buttons & a crossed cannon insignia on the front for Company H of the 7th Artillery. Leather sweatband. Polished cotton interior lining. CONDITION: hat shows light to moderate wear. 4) Spanish American War to WWI era Navy enlisted flat hat w/ a cap talley that reads, “U.S.S. ELCANO”. The Elcano was a gunboat captured from the Spanish Navy during the Spanish American War. The gunboat was officially commissioned in the U.S. Navy in the year 1902. She served for many years on the Yangtze Patrol seeing significant action against various pirates & warlords. CONDITION: hat shows very light wear. Lettering on cap talley is a bit light. 5) WWI era enlisted flat hat w/ a cap talley that reads, “U.S.S. VIRGINIA”. The battleship Virginia served in the Atlantic Fleet & took part in the 1907-09 cruise of the Great White Fleet around the work. The ship was involved in the Mexican Revolution of 1913-14 including the occupation of Veracruz, Mexico. She also served as a training ship & a convoy escort during WWI. CONDITION: hat shows light wear overall. Lettering on cap talley is a bit light. (02-14157/BF). $600-800.
