ALONG WITH A WWII JAPANESE UNIFORM. 1) LUFTWAFFE. A Luftwaffe fliegerbluse or flying blouse in medium blue/gray wool with a Luftwaffe eagle at the right breast. The front has two flapped pockets near the waist and a provision for shoulder straps. There are four plain dark steel blue composite buttons down the front, with a slightly smaller black button at the top that is hidden by the lapel. The interior rayon lining has German size stamps with the words “Gg. Schwert Bamberg”. The interior has several pockets that button. The uniform is complete with matching heaving gray wool pants with military stamps on the inside waist. CONDITION: uniform shows light wear overall with no notable damage. 2) ARMY. An army 1st Lieutenant’s dress tunic for a Jager officer. The tunic has an 8-button front with a bullion army eagle at the right breast. Uniform front and collar are piped in green with green officer’s collar tabs and green-bordered shoulder straps for a 1st Lieutenant. There is a 5-award ribbon bar above the left pocket showing awards for the War Merit Cross with swords, two Long Service Awards, an Anschluss Medal, and a Red Cross Medal. An elaborate interior label at the collar, depicting a WWII German soldier with his horse, reads “X. Feneberg Kempten Der Uniform Schneider”. CONDITION: uniform shows light wear overall with some scattered, small moth nips. 3) NAVY. A good example of a WWII German enlisted naval jumper in white with a blue bib and cuffs. There is a yellow and black embroidered navy eagle at the right breast. Uniform is complete with a correctly tied neckerchief and dark blue wool naval pants with a bib front. CONDITION: uniform remains strong. Blue shows evidence of fading, particularly on the bib. 4) SS. A WWII German SS 2nd Lieutenant’s tunic in green with a 4-button front. There is a bullion SS eagle on the left sleeve with an “Adolf Hitler” cuff title at the top of the cuff. There are black-bordered 2nd Lieutenant shoulder straps along with silver bullion-bordered SS collar tabs. The right tab features the SS runes, and the left tab has three rank pips. The left breast pocket has a 1st Class Iron Cross with a magnetic center. There is a Russian Front Medal ribbon in the first button hole. The interior lining appears to be rayon, and there is a sewn laundry tag inside the left breast pocket. This uniform is undoubtedly original, but it is questionable whether the uniform was enhanced with the addition of insignia and awards. We encourage interested parties to preview this uniform in person if feasible. CONDITION: uniform shows light wear overall with no notable moth damage. The 1st Class Iron Cross is complete but has separated in the center. The right collar tab is quite faded. 5) FIRE. A WWII fire police tunic in dark navy blue, piped in carmine. Uniform has an 8-button front with two flapped breast pockets and two flapped waist pockets. The shoulder boards indicate a rank equivalent to 1st Lieutenant, and the matching collar tabs are flat silver bullion on carmine. The left sleeve has a fire police eagle, again in carmine, with the word “Sollstedt” above. The left breast pocket has an enameled fire medal attached to the button. CONDITION: uniform remains quite strong, though just a bit dirty. The fire department medal has damage to the enamel. 6) BOOTS. One pair of WWII-era German, 19” tall, black leather boots of a type likely worn with riding britches. CONDITION: boots show moderate wear with a few splits and very minor losses. 7) JAPANESE. A WWII Japanese tunic in a dark khaki cotton material. The uniform has a 5-button front with one button missing and two flapped pockets at the left and right breasts. Uniform is lined in a cotton-muslin material. There are plain red collar tabs and shoulder straps showing a gold bullion with a central star, all on a red field. CONDITION: uniform generally shows light wear. Shoulder straps are quite faded but generally complete. (02-22745-1/BF). $2,000-3,000.
