This varied lot includes 1 convex hide shield measuring approximately 24" in diameter. / 1 intriguing carved wooden door. The door is carved throughout with various people standing side-by-side in rows. The two left hand ends have integral pintles on the top and bottom. / 1 carved wooden wall hanging with several figures carved into the inside curve. / 1 large hide covered drum measuring 30" high and 18" across. / 1 medium size drum measuring 25" in height. / 1 small drum or container measuring 11 1/2" in height. Most of the drums appear to be from Zimbabwe. CONDITION: all of these items are made by the indigenous people of Africa and were likely used by them prior to being collected by Lewis Drake. All items show average use wear along with some storage wear. No major damage is noted.
