1) Eagle pommel engraved brass scabbard w/ etched blade, American eagle & crossed flags motifs, languets have raised relief eagles w/ stars on either side, circa 1835.CONDITION: good to very good overall, 1 carved bone slab is heavily weathered but appears original. 2) Slotted guard bird’s head pommel horseman saber, wide 30" curved blade w/ federal eagle etched on blade, circa 1800. CONDITION: good to very good overall, blade is gray w/ weak but discernible decoration, polished bone grip retains wire wrap w/ lg. crack, hand worn patina, brass hilt has traces of original gold plate under old gold paint. 3) Eagle pommel, eagle quillon, narrow blade w/ light decoration, decorated knuckle bow. CONDITION: good overall, gray blade, polished bone grip chipped w/ hand worn patina. 4) Eagle pommel, carved bone grip, eagle on one languet. CONDITION: good overall, gray narrow blade, olive/dark mustard patina to brass. 5) Classic 5 ball eagle pommel, broken knuckle bow, Horstmann blade cut to 28", replaced grip w/ wrapped cord, painted name “L Russo”. CONDITION: fair overall. 6) Eagle pommel, lg. eagle clamshell cross guard. Blade mounted from later “Sons of Veterans” sword. CONDITION: good overall. 7) Early 19th century mounted militia sword. CONDITION: good overall w/ partial grip wrap, gray blade. (02-14371/JS). $1,100-1,600.
