PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 827098. Bbl. 3 1/4". HSc semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser for the German military during World War II. Left side of the slide is marked with the Mauser banner logo, followed by "Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a.N./ MOD. HSc "Kal. 7,65mm". Left side of frame is marked with an Eagle/135 military acceptance proof on the rear trigger guard web, with an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Grooved top strap of the slide features an integral blade front sight, with a dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 8-rd. 1 with parkerized body, 1 with in-the-white body. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "jhg/ 44" on the closure strap flap. CONDITION: exceptional, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original blue finish overall, exhibiting some very light edge wear on the forward edges of the slide and trigger guard, with some light superficial marks around the takedown latch on the interior of the trigger guard from prior disassembly. Exposed chamber area shows some age related discoloration, but is otherwise fine. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, showing a few minor marks from handling and storage, and a few minor chips around the screw slot. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting areas of light to mild age related cracking and crazing, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. A truly exceptional example of a military accepted Mauser HSc, that the discerning collector would find nearly impossible to upgrade from. (24-6829/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
