This interesting lot contains 6 medium sized carved and decorated African drums, likely mostly from Zimbabwe. 1 large carved wooden bowl with 4 legs carved in the shape of a standing animal. The sides of the bowl are decorated with what appear to be stylized turtles. / 2 calimbas. / 1 animal hide pegboard. / 2 large heavy paddles. / 1 musical kudu horn. / 2 small all-wood percussion drums with human head finials. / 1 small fetish statue. CONDITION: all of these items are made by the indigenous people of Africa and were likely used by them prior to being collected by Lewis Drake. All items show average use wear along with some storage wear. No major damage is noted.
