Cal. 45 Colt. S# 10319. Bbl. 7 1/2". Six shot fluted cylinder. Bull’s eye ejector head. Black powder frame, left side is marked “US”. Frame, grip straps and cylinder have matching numbers. Trigger guard below the number is stamped “A” signifying Ainsworth inspection. Cyl. has “A” inspectors stamp. Bottom of bbl. is stamped with inspection marks “P” and “A”. Loading gate is marked with number “509”. Blue finish with case colored frame and hammer. One piece walnut grips, left panel has “OWK” cartouche. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: sealed 12 round box of Frankford Arsenal cartridges for “Colt’s Revolver, Cal; .45”. Box is dated April, 1874. Box is sealed in protective plastic. Box exterior has acquired a mottled brown appearance and retains clear sharp markings. CONDITION: nicely restored revolver with just enough wear to give an original appearance. Bbl., cylinder and grip straps retain 98% reblued finish showing a light cylinder dragline and small marks. Frame and hammer have 90% restored case colors. Grips have very good finish with sharp reapplied cartouche. Sound mechanics. Bore shows light wear. Markings have added white highlighter. (01-21714/DS). ANTIQUE. $7,000-10,000.
