Sellers, David Hall Hilliard (1805-1877) operated in Cornish, New Hampshire 1842-1877 primarily making Underhammer guns. Round 33" with retailer stamp on top near breech along with front stud. Lefaucheux lock by G. Goulcher. Half length wedge fastened walnut stock with crescent buttplate, finger curl trigger guard & left side cheekpiece. German silver parts include wedge escutcheon, sideplate, & oval cheekpiece plate. Pewter nose cap. Hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: iron metal has gray patina appearance with oxidation & corrosion. Barrel underrib missing 2 pipes. Muzzle has white paint spot. Walnut has worn finish with shrinkage around buttplate, missing right side escutcheon plate, replacement improper wedge & small cracks. Ramrod tip shows heavy oxidation. Pitted bore. (01-25283/MD). ANTIQUE. $75-100.
