Cal. 16 Ga., 2 1/2". S# 57484 (1889). The 26 3/8" VH barrels with matted rib are numbered "95326" on left side of lump. Number 1 size Parker action with automatic safety and double triggers is engraved in early D style with well done dogs in oval scenes on sides surrounded by scroll. Pointing pointer on left and setter on right. Both dogs are under "PARKER BROS". Trigger plate is engraved with scene of a pointing setter in rocky background. S# is on trigger guard tang. Lightly fiddle figured and well streaked European walnut hard rubber capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/4" over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock features usual drop points, point pattern checkering and large silver oval. Matching splinter forend with steel tip has patent date engraved on latch. Identification ledger indicates this gun originally had 12 Ga. 30" barrels. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .670. R .670. Restriction: L .008 (IC). R .007 (IC). Wall thickness: L .015. R .020. STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". DAC: 1 3/4+" CAST: neutral LOP: 14 1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 10 oz. CONDITION: good as refurbished; replacement barrels retaining most of an old reblue. Action is cleaned to silver gray. Stocks with most of an oil finish with light marks. Checkering cleaned. Bores are shiny but show some riveling in right barrel along with some dent removal.
