Cal. 45 Colt. S# 177919. Bbl 5 1/2". Bisley Model single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1898. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT.", with Colt's single line address across the top. Left side of the frame bears patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame is mounted with 2 piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Standard blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. Knurled trigger and cylinder base pin head. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark gray patina overall, with some areas of mild to moderate pitting. Dark bore, exhibiting pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing, and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (01-23440/MLW). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,000.
