The 1891 tool was available for only a short time. No.1: Model 1888. This tool in caliber 40-82 W.C.F. is marked on the upper folding handle "MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REP. ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. / PAT. JAN. 24. 1888". The die body is marked "40-82 W.C.F.". The decapping pin is not present. CONDITION: tool retains traces of its original blue over forging marks w/ wear, turning dark gray & patina. Sizing chamber appears clean & serviceable. No.2: 1891 tool, caliber 45-90. The tool is marked w/ the caliber, standard Winchester markings & the admonishment "KEEP THE DIE CLEAN". The decapping arm is not present. CONDITION: die has traces of blue, turning gray & patina w/ wear. Die appears clean & serviceable. No.3: 1891 tool. Caliber 40-82. Standard markings. Decapping pin is present. CONDITION: tool has turned overall gray & patina w/ light wear. Sizing chamber appears clean & serviceable. No.4: 1891 tool. Caliber 40-65 w/ standard markings. Decapping pin is not present. CONDITION: tool retains 50% of its original blue finish w/ thinning & wear. Sizing chamber appears clean & serviceable. No.5: 1891 tool. Caliber 38-56. Standard markings. Decapping pin is not present. CONDITION: tool retains 50% of its original blue finish w/ thinning & wear. Sizing chamber appears clean & serviceable. No. 6: 1891 tool. Caliber 32-40.
