BAY COLONY MILITARY APPOINTMENT. Lieut. Joseph Hascall Revolutionary War Military Appointment Document signed June 4, 1776 by over a dozen notable Revolutionary War figures including John Winthrop, Benjamin Lincoln, & Francis Dana. Partially printed single sheet 16" x 13", w/ the rarely seen complete 1775 Massachusetts Revolutionary War seal showing a Minuteman w/ a sword in his right hand & the Magna Carta in his left affixed to upper left corner. General Benjamin Lincoln second-in-command after George Washington accepted the surrender of British forces at Yorktown which ended the Revolutionary war. CONDITION: good to very good overall, minor reductions unaffecting text at folds, two taped repairs on verso affect only the signature of Thomas Cushing.
