CONTRACT SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 17186 / B4298. Bbl. 5". Mfg. in Argentina by HAFDASA for sale to Britain during WW-II (8,000 units 1942-1944) as indicated by B prefix in added S# along w/ British proofs. All standard features of those used in Argentina: no grip safety, staggered cocking grooves on slide & vertical grooved grips. Very similar to System 1927 Colt models but only bbls. & mags. are interchangeable. No import marks or British export marks. MAGS: 1 very good blued 7 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good to excellent light tan canvas holster w/ "L.J. GRIFFITHS" inked under flap along w/ "IS & U1D.1941" (not clear). CONDITION: as w/ most British handguns, it is very good overall. Light high point wear w/ occasional spot of peppery oxidation. Typical light scratch from improper slide lock installation. Very good grips w/ light hand wear. Near excellent bore. (22-1916/NW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
