MUSKET & BAYONET CIRCA 1810. Cal. 75. S# NSN. Bbl.39.25". Standard configuration of 1793 pattern made last in 1815. Tower & GR cypher marked lock, broad arrow proofs on lock & barrel. This is an honest example of War of 1812 era Brown Bess musket. 17.25” blade bayonet proofed and contract maker stamped “J. HILL”. CONDITION: very good overall, all original, complete, & matching, smooth iron patina, pitting at breech, barrel bright where protected by attached bayonet. Mechanics fine, strong springs, clear dark smooth bore. Stock sound, stamped “DEWERSON” opposite lock. Bayonet matches well. (01-22774/JS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
