Cal. 22 LR. S# 180779. WWII-era Service Model Ace bbl. and slide assembly with 5" bbl. There is no serial number on the slide. Micrometer Stevens rear sight and Type C front sight. Type B recoil spring guide. WWI Colt 1911 frame (1917) with an additional "C" stamp before S# on the right side, stamped "H", "Y," and "G" on top, and 3 dots in the recoil spring channel. Type C hammer, Colt Type 1 dbl. diamond walnut grip panels, Type A slide lock, short tang grip safety, Type 1 flat mainspring housing, Type 2 mainspring housing pin, Type C mag. release lock, and Type 3 recoil spring plug; incorrect replacement Type D safety lock tab. MAGS: 2 Service Model Ace 10 rd.; 1 early polished blue with serrated follower and 1 rough blue with circular dimpled follower. CONDITION: slide has a very good parkerized finish with edge wear, light scratches, and a couple of marks. Bbl. has good blue with cycling wear. The frame has a fair refinished parkerized finish with prior light pitting. The recoil spring guide washer is missing. Very good bore. (23-5500/MD). MODERN. $1,000-1,500.
