LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2586n. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger, assembled from a combination of parts, mostly from two pistols. Bbl. extension is marked "41" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/655 proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "byf" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Trigger and safety lever exhibit a straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half of the right grip screw has broken off and is absent. Frame, trigger, as well as the safety lever and bar are matching. Takedown lever, bbl., bbl. extension, trigger bar, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, toggles, and rear toggle pin are matching via "81" (Full # on bbl. & bbl. extension "6181". Sideplate and grips are mismatched. MAGS: two 8-rd.; one with aluminum bottom (S# 7325n) and one with black plastic bottom. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked brown leather shoulder holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of thinning and wear overall. Frame exhibits the most wear, with scattered superficial handling marks and areas of oxidation overall. Trigger and safety lever retain traces of their strawed finish, with the balance exhibiting a gray patina and spots of age-related discoloration. Near mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks and minor impressions overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some mild wear, age-related cracking, and crazing, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-5465/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
