Cal. 45 ACP. S# 17705 (frame mfg. 1919). Type 16 Remington-UMC 5" barrel. Earlier production slide has Type A front sight & Type B rear sight along with "E" proof on back of slide. Brushed blued finish on slide & frame. Frame marked w/ "E.E.C." inspector proof, eagle "I38" proof on left side trigger guard bow, & eagle "S22" proof below inspector initials. Remington-UMC Type B hammer. Type 1 Mainspring housing & Type 2 pin; mainspring housing has polished blued finish. Type 3 Recoil spring plug. Type B recoil spring guide. Type A slide lock. Type C mag. release lock. Type C safety lock tab. Long trigger. Short tang grip safety. Type 1 double diamond checkered walnut grips. MAGS: 1 two tone 7 rd. in fair condition with fading blue mixed with peppery patina throughout. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1911 cord lanyard in good intact condition. CONDITION: this pistol has over 90% original brushed blue finish showing wear around slide lock & slide lock scratch. Front strap shows a mix of hand worn blue & brown patina. Mainspring housing shows deep mark & marks within pin recess. Slide blue shows spots of fading finish towards rear section of left side with sporadic spots of peppery oxidation scattered throughout slide. Very good grips with light flattening to diamonds & scattered marks. Barrel shows good strong blue with wear consistent with cycling. Bore is quite shiny with strong rifling showing minimal wear.
