Cal. 9mm Largo. S# 88194. Bbl. 6". Model 1921 (commercially designated the Model 400) semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Astra. Top of the slide is marked with the Astra logo towards the muzzle, with the model and cal. designations marked at the rear. Left side of the frame is marked "SPAIN", as well as with an "IAC" import mark. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and trigger, which are in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning that shows through to gray and brown patinas, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some spots of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Bore exhibits dark pitting while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing, as well as scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-5980/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
