WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 29171. Bbl. 5 1/4". Model 600/43 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Astra in 1951. Top of the slide is marked with Astra's mfg. information, above the model and cal. designations. Left side of the frame is marked with a triad of Spanish proofs. Left side of the slide and the right side of the bbl. exhibit a "P" within a flaming ordnance bomb proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on some small parts, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. No matching numbers are present. MAGS: two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "HECHO MEXICO/ REYES" on the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild wear and thinning (primarily on grip straps and edges), some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting. Grip straps exhibit light to mild surface oxidation overall. In-the-white parts are very good overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few scattered nicks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting mild age-related cracking and some areas of mild crazing overall. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken. (24-6247/MLW). CURIO. $200-400.
