Cal. 7.63mm. S# 10524. Bbl. 5 1/2" with Century import marking. Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1000m. Astra made a broomhandle-style pistol. The right rear of the frame appears to be the only visible numbered part. Pistol is "B" proofed, denoting 1928 mfg. The right side of the frame has a single-line marking that reads "ASTRA AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL 763". Blued finish. Backstrap is slotted for shoulder stock. Walnut grips with 12 grooves and matching stamped numbers on each panel. No lanyard ring is present. CONDITION: grips show a few notable gouges, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal retains 30% of its blue with overall fading to gray, some light pitting, and scattered oxidation. Worn bore with scattered light pitting and frosting. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H.
