Cal. 9mm Bergmann. S# 869. Bbl. 4 1/8". Standard configuration Bergmann 1903 with 4 1/8" barrel having fixed front and rear sights. Left side of barrel extension marked "CAL.9." The locking block on top of slide marked with Bergman Mars patent reference. Crown/Crown/U on barrel, barrel extension and left side of trigger guard. Serial number under barrel. Walnut checkered grips, each with a penciled matching "696", with fine border, secured with single transverse screw. Detachable mag. with 3-indicator holes and matching "696" on the floorplate. MAGS: 1 approx. 8-rd. CONDITION: VG original finish with sharp edge wear and toning as one might expect from a pistol that has seen moderate use, particularly as concerning the grip straps. Comparable wear and toning of the strawed and fire blued small parts. Grips with repairs, at the upper front corners, each panel with associated recheckering and rebordering. Bright bore, light erosion, easily discernible rifling. Correct manual mechanics. A nicely presenting early development semi-automatic pistol from the turn of the 20th century. (25-3433/LMA).
