MODEL 95 TYPE II O/U DERRINGER PISTOL WITH SCARCE PIPE CASE. Cal. 41 RF. NSN. Bbl. 3". Top of bbl. rib is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y". Metal components exhibit a later applied gold plated finish, with the trigger and hammer exhibiting a blue finish. Frame and bbl. feature near full coverage aftermarket scroll engraving on a wavy line background. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth pearl birds head grips. Integral blade front sight and wide U-notch rear sight. Frame exhibits assembly # "833" beneath the left grip panel, with assembly # "449" on the underside of the bbls. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: scarce original Remington black leatherette wrapped form fitted pipe case with relined green felt interior. Also included is an unrelated auction listing showing a similar case with a first variation example. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority amounts of their later applied gold plated finish, showing some light edge wear, with some scattered spots of light pitting beneath the finish. Dark pitted bores retaining trace rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some light superficial handling marks. Case shows light exterior wear, as well as some superficial marks from handling an storage, but otherwise remains sturdy. Case lid does not latch shut.
