DOUBLE SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 204488. The 30" steel barrels fitted with matted game rib are marked with Hunter Arms info on rear of rib and "L.C. Smith Specialty Grade" on top of right barrel. Case hardened action with non-automatic safety and Hunter selective one trigger is engraved in pre 1913 grade 2 style with some light scroll surrounding scenes of game birds on lockplates. Quail on left; swimming duck on right. "L.C. SMITH" is on each lockplate. S# is on trigger guard tang. Well marbled European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13 1/2" over brown Decelerator pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend with "J" spring release has secondary latch in guitar shaped escutcheon. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .734. R .728. Restriction: L .034 (Full). R .020 (Mod). Wall thickness: L .022. R .030. STOCK: DAH: 2 1/2+. DAC: 1 9/16". CAST: slightly off. LOP: 13 1/2". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 12 oz. CONDITION: fine as partially restored. Barrels retaining about 85% bright blue. Action and lockplates over 70% original case hardening color. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish with numerous marks.
