(Vermont, 1896-1974) SKIING SCENE. Watercolor on paper depicts a rural Vermont village. In the background skiers are skiing down the mountain and in the foreground is a horse drawn wagon with skiers and their skis being transported down to the village. The general store and other village buildings are at the center of this charming winter scene. The watercolor is matted and tastefully framed in a gray deep molded frame. Work is unsigned. Sample was particularly known for his New England subject matter, especially those involving winter skiing in Vermont. SIZE: Sight is approx. 15 1/2" x 20 1/2". Overall 26 1/2" w x 32" h.
