Overall length: 42”. Blade length: 34”. Pipe-back blade with etching over the first 14”. Etching includes oak leaves, a crowned royal cipher, a spray of arms, and the Austrian eagle. The blade is marked near the ricasso “J.H Haufman” & “K.K Hof. Schwertzjeger in Wien." Iron hilt with intricately pierced guard showing foliate & geometric decoration. Stepped pommel with a plain backstrap. Wire-wrapped sharkskin grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium to light gray overall patina with some minor staining. Hilt shows light wear overall, and the grip is complete. Scabbard has a light gray overall patina with a few spots of staining. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker.
