Cal. .177. S# 00120051 Bbl. 6". The "Junker" is an iconic Kalashnikov design that was originally designed as an interesting & appropriate gift for dignitaries visiting the Kalashnikov factory. The point of the exercise was to have an actual live firing souvenir without the rules & regulations that come w/ firearms ownership. The "Junker" is actually a Russian MP651K .177 caliber, Co2 pistol enveloped into an authentic Kalashnikov design, complete w/ a moving charging handle & detachable nonfunctional magazine. The number of those imported into the United States is often rumored to be under 500. From the surface it screams "authentic AK" from the removable flash hider, sights, furniture & even receiver markings. The disassembly is so similar to the original rifle that it is used in training older children in Russia. The top cover is removable w/ the bolt carrier assembly & recoil spring removed in typical fashion. Upon removing the top cover & extracting the charging handle, the removable MP651K pistol comes into sight, and this is where BBs / pellets are loaded. The Co2 cylinder is concealed inside the pistol grip. It has a black painted finish & boasts a protected post front sight, combined w/ a rear tangent sight marked from CQB to 1000 meters, just like the original. The safety / selector moves like the original, though it isn't functional. The black plastic shoulder stock even retains the functional trap door. The visible, detachable magazine is an altered original magazine but for function purposes, the BBs are fed inside the action, under the top cover, into a slot in the top portion of the host pistol. It is used in conjunction w/ 8 shot cylinders, designed to feed either BBs or lead pellets, w/ a slight difference between them. Left side sling swivels w/ blue canvas sling. MAGS: 1 aesthetic (non-functional) 30 rd. & 2 8-shot .177 cylinders. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Pistol target sight, spare O-rings, cleaning kit & rod w/ owners manual. CONDITION: The only sign of use is some minute thinning between the traditional selector & receiver. These typically don't see actual use due to the complicated loading procedure. This appears no different. PROVENANCE: From the Working Reference Collection of Military Arms Instructor, Master Sergeant Vincent Pestilli. (02-21771/JZ). NON-GUN. $500-700.
