GUN WITH CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 293376 (1968). The 27 1/2" chopper lump barrels are fitted with Simmons raised matted ventilated rib. Barrel flats are stamped with 1968 Spanish nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Nickel plated side lock action features non-automatic safety, hidden third fastener, side clips, bushed strikers, H&H style hand detachable locks, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators and single selective trigger. Action is engraved with 100% coverage hand cut background of scroll with acanthus and floral accents. Maker's name is on bottom. Gun is #1 of a pair with "1" gold inlaid on top lever and forend tip. #1 is not on rib as this is a later replacement. Straight grip buttstock of lightly streaked European walnut measures 13 1/2" over checkered wood butt and features drop points and point pattern checkering. Interior is lined in green felt and contains exterior straps. CONDITION: exceptionally fine retaining nearly all factory finish on action and wood.
