TRIGGER GAME GUN. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4"., S# 113787 (CA 1957). The top of the AYA line in the early 50's this gun has 27 5/8" demi-bloc barrels fitted with matted ventilated rib. Top barrel is gold inlaid "ESPECIALMENTE FABRICADA PARA" "Fde DE. AGUIRRE Y ARANZAXXX" either side of rib at rear. Barrel flats are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Case hardened O/U double Kirsten side lock action features non-automatic safety, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, hand detachable H&H type locks, gold plated internals and single selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage exceptionally well handcut rose and scroll. Maker's name appears on both sides of action and bottom of each lockplate as well as on a band on bottom of action. AYA logo is gold inlaid on blued top lever. Trigger guard has scroll engraving on bow and S# on tang. Capped pistol grip buttstock of attractively marbled and lightly figured European walnut measures 14 1/2" over ribbed horn buttplate. Stock features drop points, point pattern checkering, scroll embossed grip cap and the individual letters "T C" in gold on toeline. Matching three piece ejector forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: B .724". T .724". Restriction: B .019" (mod). T .045" (extra full). Wall thickness: B .029". T .30". STOCK: DAH: 2 1/8". DAC: 1 1/2". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14 1/2". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 13 oz. CONDITION: exceptionally fine as partially refinished. Barrels retaining nearly all of a very good quality reblue. Engraving somewhat softened. Action retains nearly all of what appears to be its original case hardening color as engraving is sharp overall and does not show evidence of any polishing. Trigger guard appears to be reblued as engraving is somewhat softened. Stocks retain nearly all of a satin refinish over some marks and bumps. Checkering has been cleaned. Bores are bright and shiny.
