Cal. 13.9mm. S# 52637. Bbl. 37". Franco Prussian War era Bavarian breechloading rifle converted from an earlier muzzleloader. Matching numbers on breech, stock & bbl. Lock has A. Francotte Liege markings, 1861 & 1873 dates. Flip up rear sight & blade front sight. Walnut stock w/ three bands. Bottom mounted sling swivels. Brass tipped ramrod. CONDITION: walnut stock appears lightly sanded w/ scattered handling wear & light dings. Metal is a gray patina w/ scattered oxidation & light dings. Good bore w/ strong rifling but a few spots of pitting. PROVENANCE: From the Raymond Darida Estate. (01-22227/MJC). ANTIQUE. $700-1000.
