YEAR COMMEMORATIVE HI-POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH MATCHING FACTORY HARD CASE. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 511MV50723. Bbl. 4 5/8". Beautiful Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Belgium and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company, commemorating John Moses Browning's 150th birthday. The sides of the slide and frame exhibit foliate motifs on a matte black background within gold-lined borders. Left side of the slide is marked with "John M. Browning" in cursive and the Browning logo, with the right side exhibiting "1855" and "2005" above a 150/ years" and "JOHN. M. BROWNING". Right side of the frame is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH MONTREAL P.Q./ MADE IN BELGIUM ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL". Frame and slide exhibit a lustrous dark blue finish, with the aforementioned matte bluing present at engraved areas. Small parts, including the trigger, mag. release button, slide release lever, slide safety, hammer, iron sights, and grip screws, exhibit a gold-plated finish. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth faux ivory grips, which are embellished with a portrait of John Browning at the bottom of either panel. Slide is matching to the frame via "723" on the interior. MAGS: two 13-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory hard case containing factory paperwork. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory finishes, save for what appears to be either some extremely light losses or diminutive spots of cleaned oxidation that are present on the gold borders of the slide. Mirror bore, exhibiting some grease while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent overall. (24-5931/MLW). MODERN. $2,000-3,000.
