FACTORY BOX. Cal. 308. S# 2507834. Bbl. 23.25" over 3.25" flash hider. Early, original Fabrique Nationale Herstal FN FAL. This is 1 of the more desirable examples of this rifle that has been referred to as “the right arm of the free world”. Traditional black painted finish on exposed metal surfaces. Wood buttstock w/ steel hinged shoulder plate. Plastic pistol grip, heavy wood forend. Protected post front sight along w/ rear peep sight adj. in elevation from 200m to 600m. Upper receiver left side stamped “308 MATCH”. Right side markings include: “Fabique Nationale Herstal / Made in Belgium / Steyr Secaucus NJ / Gunsouth Birmingham AL”. S# also resides on right side. Top cover has 7" Weaver style scope base, currently sporting O/U rings & Simmons 4x32 scope w/ duplex reticle. This extremely popular & effective rifle has a carry handle, adj. gas system, as well as sling swivels front & rear, currently sporting black nylon Springfield sling. Utilizes metric style mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: All aspects indicate very little use. Finish coverage on exposed metal surfaces are complete & consistent, w/ the only thinning on a small spot on the gas tube, from rubbing on something. Wooden buttstock & forend are attractive reddish stain w/ very few tiny impressions. Pistol grip has typical handling scratches. Scope glass clear w/ sharp reticle. Bright bore w/ strong rifling.
