Cal. 69. NSN. Bbl. 34 1/4". Round blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1000m. Belgian made percussion musket that appears to be a copy of a French 1853 percussion musket. Lock marked w/ "(Crown)/H" at front & "FT" at rear. Rear of bbl. marked w/ circle "E LG" proof. Right front of bbl. has saber bayonet lug. Lock has good function when hand cycled. Brightly finished metal. European hardwood stock w/ faint cartouche on left side, bottom mounted sling swivels & two bands. Tulip shaped ramrod is present. CONDITION: stock has older added finish w/ some chipping in ramrod channel, scattered handling wear & dings. Metal appears cleaned long ago w/ scattered oxidation & light pitting. Bore has no discernable rifling & scattered oxidation. (01-24448/MJC). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
