Cal. 12mm. NSN. Bbl. 5 3/4". A scarce Delhaxe Brevete pinfire revolver popular during the American Civil War & imported in significant numbers by both sides. Revolver features an 8" folding blade that is wavy in form. Blade is clearly stamped "DELHAXE BREVETE". If the 6 shots were used, defense could still be attained by deploying the blade. The body of the revolver is blued. Bbl. has a "V" on the underside next to the frame. The hammer, trigger, ejector rod & blade are bright. 2 Piece wood grips are checkered w/ a gadrooned design at the butt. Butt has a lanyard ring. CONDITION: blued finish is about 90%. Trigger & hammer show tiny spots of oxidation. Ejector rod has oxidation near the front. Blade has a uniform light gray patina. Mechanics work well. Very good bore w/ light rifling. (01-17186/BF). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
