SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. 3". S# 400-31736. Bbls. 26" w/ vent rib & brass bead. Fixed skeet chokes. Blue receiver. SST. Selective ejectors. Beaver-tail forearm & capped pistol grip stock of very fancy "first quality" satin finished walnut w/ point pattern cut checkering & solid red pad. Purchased by consignor in a Ruger factory auction. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. certifying this firearm was a part of the Ruger factory collection. The letter details the following information, "Testfire Date: December 29, 1981 / Special Features: This model (RL-202) Over and Under shotgun was introduced in 1977. Our records indicate that in January 1982 the shotgun was shipped to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the attention of William Harris. William Harris was the Captain of William B. Ruger's yacht (Titania). Mr. Ruger's yacht spent the winters based in Palm Beach, FL. There is a hand-written note in the box with the shotgun that states "Bill Rugers Boat Gun/Repair as Needed". Original box & over box containing owner's manual & record card. Box shows some water staining. CONDITION: near excellent retaining 98% blue. Stock shows a few scattered scratches & marks. Bright near excellent bores. (23-6472/DS). MODERN. $2,000-3,000.
