BOOK. 1) A looseleaf binder containing numerous pages pertaining to briefings on the Sperry Ball Turret along with technical information on the 50-cal. machine gun and target acquisition guidance, likely for training squadron gunners. An interesting feature of the binder is a signed photograph on the cover of Bud Lee, a tail gunner with the 757th Bomb Squadron. Above the photograph is a set of sterling bombardier wings, and below the photograph is Lee’s WWII dog tag. CONDITION: binder shows expected wear, but the interior pages are undamaged with some discoloration. The photograph, wings, and dog tag show light wear, as does the surrounding frame. (02-23133/BF). 2) A pilot’s log book belonging to a private pilot named Gerard J. Norris at the Newark Metropolitan Airport. The date of the first entry in the log book is "7/13/31", and the final entry is "9/20/34". The book basically records Norris’s time in the air. CONDITION: light wear overall. (02-23140/BF). $200-400.
