Sidelock top lever action with bar type cocking indicators. Barrels, top lever and forearm iron are marked with gold number "2" indicating it is the second of a two gun set. Sides of frame are marked "BOSS'S PATENT". Action, trigger guard and forearm iron have full coverage fine rose and scroll hand engraving. Breech end of barrels has borderline engraving with scroll highlight on rib. Double triggers. Selective ejectors. Steel tipped splinter forearm and straight hand stock of fine English walnut having rich brown tones having vivid dark streaking. Features include tear drop points, hand checkering and brass oval nameplate in toeline. LOP: 14 7/16" to checkered butt. DAC: 1 9/16". DAH: 2 3/8". Stock has approximately 1/4" cast off. CONDITION: barrels retain over 97% blacked finish showing slight muzzle and edge wear with small scratches. Action has faded to an even gray appearance. Original wood finish shows light wear and marks with strong checkering. Action is tight and on face. Left ejector hammer does not hold in cocked position when gun is taken down.
