PISTOLS. Both: Cal. 45. NSN. Bbls. 10 7/8" octagon with rifled bores and blade front sights. Top flats have Silver inlays engraved "IESSE BRENNAN & Co.". Jesse, David, and Seth are the sons of Judson Brennan, famed builder of historical American arms. Unmarked iron locks. Plain finger curl triggers. Pin fastened stocks of maple with tight curly figure. Brass fittings consist of sideplates, trigger guards, nose caps, octagon faceted thimbles, and single octagon faceted pipes holding plain hardwood ramrods. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: pistols are housed in custom 17"x10"x4" maple box with red felt fitted interior. Box contains a priming powder flask, turnscrew, wrought iron nipple pick, spare flints, rnd. balls, and a single case key. CONDITION: pistols have an appropriate artificially aged finish. Bbl. locks and iron parts display an intentional mottled brown/gray with spotted light corrosion. Stocks finish show intentional high point wear. Brass fittings are finished to show a mottled tarnish. Sound locks. Bright bores retain strong rifling. Case exterior shows small handling marks and light interior wear.
