Cal. 308. S# 138585. Bbl. 24.5" over muzzle device. Brazilian Imbel FAL rifle, imported through C.A.I. in Georgia, VT. Inch pattern receiver. The FAL rifle has been referred to as “the right arm of the free world”. Parkerized, grey finish on exposed metal surfaces. 9" wood handguard w/ ventilation slots and holes. Wood pistol grip and buttstock, w/ steel, trap door butt plate. Protected post front sight along w/ rear peep sight adj. in elevation from 200 to 600 yards. Upper receiver left side stamped “CAL 7.62MM (.308)”. Right side markings include: “IMBEL / FAL / RECEIVER MADE BY IMBEL - ITAJUBA - BRAZIL / C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT”. S# also resides on right side. Inside of mag-well stamped "2003". Safety / selector markings "S-R". Folding carry handle w/ green grip, & adj. gas system. Sling swivels front & rear. Utilizes Inch pattern mags. MAGS: 1 Steel 20 rd. inch pattern. CONDITION: Finish on exposed metal surfaces enjoys complete and consistent coverage w/ some thinning in areas of mechanical intervention. Natural finish on aluminum butt plate. Wooden furniture matches well w/ only a few gentle impressions. Muzzle device is solid and fluted, as though only attached for aesthetics.
