Cal. 62. NSN. Bbl. 51 1/4". Oct. to rnd. Cheaply made musket has British proofs at breech end. Lock w/ rnd. bodied reinforced cock has rounded pan, bridled friction frizzen simple feather spring. Rear portion of lock is stamped "WARRENTED". A logo depicting elephant w/ castle on its back is stamped in front of cock. Hardwood stock extends to muzzle & is pinned to bbl. Iron furniture is of a thin sheet iron. Steel ramrod is held by 5 beaded pipes & matching thimble. CONDITION: good. Iron parts cleaned to freckled grey & brown. Wood w/ old black painted finish has numerous marks. Lock still operable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19316/MGM). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
