Receiver ring marked on left side w/ "(crown) / BN" & "NOT ENGLISH MAKE". Receiver ring marked on right side "ERA. Ladder aperture rear sight marked to 1650yds. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Cocking piece marked "W". Rear sight & bolt stop marked "E". Stacking swivel & screw are not present. Walnut stock set. Volley sight has been removed leaving mounting plate. Military type leather sling. Smooth trap buttplate. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining, dents & scratches commensurate w/ long service. Marking disk has been replaced by inletted wood. Metal has 50% original finish w/ light wear & scattered oxidation. Rear sight pivot screw has been replaced w/ pin. Good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (24-1338/RW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
