Cal. 303 British. S# R784. Serial number matches on receiver and bolt. Bbl. 20 5/8", including flash hider. Receiver is marked on left rail in electro-pencil "NO5 MKI ROF(F) / 9 / 45" and serial number. Receiver ring marked on right side with "ENGLAND." Rifle has all the correct features for the NO5 rifle, including the lightning cut at the rear of the receiver, the right receiver rail with no mag. cutoff boss, a hollow bolt knob, and a lightened trigger guard. Adj. rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears mounted on flash hider and bayonet lug assembly. Unmarked walnut buttstock and forend. Handguard is stained hardwood. Buttplate equipped with rubber recoil pad and sling bar. Correct tan web sling. MAGS: one detachable 10 rd replacement. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 8" fullered blade bayonet marked on right ricasso "R.I.". Smooth hardwood grips. Steel scabbard with green web frog. Bayonet is in very good condition, with most of its original finish. Scabbard has a worn, flaking black finish. Frog is stained but serviceable. CONDITION: replacement stock set has light wear and scattered small handling marks. Metal retains an 80% black finish with light flaking and wear. Very good, shiny bore.
