BLUNDERBUSS. Cal. 2.3" at muzzle. NSN. The 16" brass bbl. has graceful flair to muzzle and has London black powder proofs at breech end. Military style flintlock is unmarked and has serpentine cock, integral rounded pan, bridled frizzen and feather spring w/ duckbill finial. Walnut stock extends to muzzle and is pinned to bbl. and is brass mounted. Buttplate is of heavy sheet brass. Sideplate is flush mounted and has long tail. Trigger guard has bulbous finial. Steel ramrod is held by single sheet brass pipe. Inspector's initials "IH"? under a crescent moon are behind sideplate tail. Bore is dirty. Lock is operable. CONDITION: good. Bbl. with mustard golden brown patina. Lock cleaned over pitting. Stock has newer varnish finish with a number of marks. Brass is nicely toned. Ramrod pipe is smashed.
