Cal. 455 Eley. S# 51826. Bbl. 6 1/2". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Second Model MKII revolver, mfg. 1915-1917 Matching numbers on frame, bbl., cyl., and extractor. Rear left of the frame has British proofs. Blued finish with case-colored trigger & hammer. Unnumbered checkered walnut grips with gold S&W medallions. Lanyard ring is present on the bottom of the grip frame. CONDITION: grips show some dents on the bottom, scattered dings, handling, and checkering wear. Trigger and hammer retain strong case colors with scattered oxidation and some operational wear. Balance of metal retains 50% of its original blue with some notable pitting under grips, scattered edge wear, oxidation, and flaking to brown. Very good, bright bore, with some light frosting.
