TOWER. Cal. 69. NSN. The 7" round bbl. has Birmingham proofs at rear and is stamped "16" on top. Lock with flat plate is stamped "Tower" at center and with a royal crown on tail. Walnut stock extends to muzzle and is pinned to bbl. Shaping and brass furniture are of Model 1842 sea service style with brass furniture; grip cap having lanyard ring. Steel ramrod is held by beaded thimble. The initials "TN" are on left side opposite lock. CONDITION: good. Iron parts are dark brown patina. Stock retains most of its original varnish of a large number of knocks, scratches and some deep impressions. Bore is good. Lock catches at half cock. (01-20812/MGM). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
