MANUFACTURED BY BSA. Cal. 303 Brit. S# BE6465. Bbl. 20 1/2" including cone type flash hider. Import marked on right side of bbl. Serial numbers match on receiver, bolt, mag. & forend. Flip type aperture rear sight. Blade front sight. Flash hider assembly has protective sight ears & bayonet lug. Action has correct #5 features. 2 Lightning cuts at rear of receiver. No boss at forward end of right receiver rail. Hollow bolt knob. Lightened trigger guard. Receiver marked on left wall w/ "No.5" "MK1". Left side of butt socket marked "M47C" indicating manufacture by BSA (Shirley). Mark is poorly struck & not completely legible. Dated 1945. S# is faint. Hardwood stock set. Forend has metal tip. Buttstock has correct leather buttplate w/ sling bar on the right side. Correct green web sling. MAGS: 1-10 rd. detachable. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish w/ flaking, wear, staining & handling marks throughout. Metal has worn arsenal rework finish w/ flaking & scattered handling marks.
