REVOLVER. Cal. 7mm Pinfire. NSN. Bbl. 3 3/8". British pinfire folding-trigger double action revolver produced by an unknown mfg. Revolver is virtually unmarked, save for several British proofs that are present on the frame, cyl., and bbl. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight is absent. Frame screw (on underside, behind trigger) is a brass replacement. Bbl. screw has later been modified for use with a Phillips screw bit. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster mfg. by Folsom's Audley, featuring Folsom's mfg. information on the rear, followed by "AP332/ PS 4". CONDITION: metal components retain a dark gray patina, with areas of light to mild pitting and age related discoloration present overall. Bbl. and cyl. have been cleaned at one time, and exhibit striations from cleaning. Dark pitted bore, retaining poor rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips show some smoothing, as well as some areas of marring (on right grip panel), with the left panel exhibiting a small crack stemming from the bottom point of the screw escutcheon. Holster has hardened, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing overall. (01-26869/MLW). ANTIQUE. $100-200.
