Cal. 69. NSN. Bbl. 42". This resembles a French musket w/ Brown Bess style Tatham & Son London lock. 3 Band walnut stock w/ deep bow finger grip triggerguard. CONDITION: gunsmith attention needed, replacement lockplate screw does not properly fit & protrudes. Lock shows damage & will not fit into mortise. Metal has once cleaned appearance w/ reacquiring patina alongside dark patina on edges, peppery oxidation & pitting around touch hole. Fair stock worn finish w/ wood erosion, chips, gouges & sm. cracks. Dark pitted bore. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Thomas F. Wolfinger. (01-23500/MD). ANTIQUE. $100-300.
